Being in an intimate relationship with another person is an incredible growth opportunity but the challenges that come up can be overwhelming. Coming to therapy can ensure that you are communicating effectively and meeting each others needs. My approach to couples work is informed by EFT. I specialize in working with partners who are parenting, especially new parents, and LGBTQ+ couples. I also have significant experience helping clients navigate neurodivergence, cross-cultural and racial differences in relationships.

Most of the adults I work with are parents, though not all of them present with parenting as a primary concern. Whether issues relate to depression and anxiety, past trauma, work stress or relationship challenges we collaborate to address them. The process of therapy allows you to deeply understand problems and their origin, which then empowers you to transform how you engage with them. My goal for all clients is to live full vibrant lives by overcoming the obstacles holding you back.​ Neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clients, as well as those who have had immigration experiences will find a welcoming home in my practice.

Drawing on extensive training and experience in working with children and teens, I offer individual treatment starting at age 5 and family therapy for younger clients. I practice play therapy with children and talk therapy with teens, offering above all, a place where they can be themselves and feel accepted. Through treatment kids can find ways to express emotions, advocate for their needs and engage in behaviors that facilitate their goals. Childhood is the ideal time to intervene because young people are more flexible to make changes and can adjust their trajectory before entering adulthood. Effective child therapy often requires family involvement, so I work closely with parents, guiding them toward the best ways to support their children.  

Addressing the whole family in therapy can be one of the most impactful interventions. Many struggles are in the interactions between individuals. Family therapy is the way to re-establish harmony and collaboration. Whether you're raising toddlers or teens (or both), I will make sure that everyone feels heard and their needs are addressed. Consider this also if you are separating in order to establish a productive cooperating relationship.
